Description

Double commission for :iconfireblader:!

Finally, I finished these two. I feel like everything takes me forever when summer is around. Working in small 3x4 meter room with no air condition, which is your bedroom, living room and art studio at the same time isn't really comfortable. Summer go away, please... Pretty please...?
I still hate my photos. I can't really find a good spot with nice sunlight during the day and good lighting during the night (and enough space for me running around with camera). Colors aren't that bad, pretty close to irl colors.

Jetsura measures 10 inches tall and 20 inches long (24 inches wingspan) and is made out of black and white minky. Kaito is the same size with 22 inches wingspan and is made out of red, black, brown and taupe minky. Faces and markings are machine embroidered. Wings are wired and posable. Despite small size I worked with, I tried to keep all the details such as spikes, markings and even crack-like lines on Jetsura's horns! The one and only thing I wasn't able to do is white gradient on Jetsura's muzzle. Black to white color change is hard to achieve on plush and hard edges would look ridiculous tbh.

Now, I'm going to take one or two days off well, not really "off" to write jounals about new commission batch, bagbean plush price list (expect some slots open specifically for bagbeans) and drawings I owe some of you (because I didn't forget about them lol!) as well as to do what I should do long time ago - reply all quotes. This is going to be really hard for me, so please, bear with me!

It's difficult finding space for the set up sometimes (occasionally on a board on top of my bed), but I've discovered having a collapsible diy lightbox has been incredibly helpful in getting good lighting balance for my craft pictures.  I used foam board with tracing paper to set mine up and taped it along the edges.  Cutting the tape on a couple of the sides allows it to fold in on itself and collapse flat enough to store with my oversized art papers behind a dresser.  Then it folds back out with minor fuss when I want it again.  Some of your plush may be too large for this set up to be convenient but its worth playing around with when proper lighting is hard to get.  I was amazed how much of a difference it made, even just using various desk lamps as the light sources.

Doing a search for "diy craft foam light box" or "make your own light box" should bring up a bunch of different tutorials.  Hope that's a bit useful for you. :3

And thanks for sharing your creations!  I love how detailed and full of expression each one is.
